Two castles. Time to enjoy them.
Private hotel pickup, a route shaped around your visits and return transport to Paris.
Request my day trip quoteA Loire Valley day trip from Paris with a private driver can pair Chambord and Chenonceau with time for lunch and independent visits. Choose the castles that match your interests, then agree a route around opening arrangements and your preferred pace.

This is a planning range, subject to your hotel address, traffic, reservations and pace. The final quote confirms your itinerary and reserved hours.
Plan an early departure and a comfort break around the hotel address and the selected castle visits.
Allow time for your chosen château and garden visit, independently or with a separately confirmed guide.
Keep space for lunch rather than filling every interval with another château.
Visit the château in Chenonceaux according to admission arrangements and your interest in its rooms, river setting and gardens.
Agree a return window that allows for the road journey and any rest stops.
The best first decision is what you want to spend time doing. If you want to explore rooms, pause in gardens and sit down for lunch, two castles give a clear structure for a Loire Valley tour from Paris. A private driver connects the visits and brings you back to your hotel; the day does not need four château admissions to feel complete.
Chambord and Chenonceau are a proposed pairing for a first visit. You can request a different combination if you have already seen one of them or have a particular interest in gardens or royal history. Share that preference before buying admissions so the transport and visit arrangements can be checked together.
At Chambord, decide how much time you want for the château and its grounds. A detailed interior visit and a brief exterior stop are different programmes. Check the official Chambord visitor information for current practical arrangements, visitor rules and services before finalising your plan.
Chenonceau sits on the Cher river in the commune of Chenonceaux: the château's name has no final x, while the town's name does. Rooms, the river setting and gardens can all compete for your attention. The official Chenonceau practical information links to opening times, admission and visitor services. The exact date matters when deciding the order and length of your visits.
Neither visit should be squeezed into the gap left after an overambitious route. Allow time to arrive, walk from the vehicle, pass visitor checks and meet a guide if one has been booked. Lunch is part of the plan, with any restaurant booking assessed against the castle schedule.
Allow 11–13 hours as a proposed planning band for a two-castle day with Paris hotel pickup and return. This is not a fixed driving measurement. Your hotel address, traffic, opening arrangements, reservations and walking pace determine the itinerary that can be confirmed.
Blois and Amboise are options for a different pairing or an overnight itinerary, rather than extra full visits added to Chambord and Chenonceau. If you want Blois, Amboise and the Clos Lucé as well, discuss two days. Tours, Villandry and Azay-le-Rideau can also be considered for a longer stay, with accommodation and the return arrangements priced separately.
| Your priority | Programme to discuss |
|---|---|
| First château visit | Chambord and Chenonceau with lunch |
| Gardens and a slower pace | Fewer interior visits and longer outdoor time |
| Several towns and castles | An overnight or two-day itinerary |
| Less time away from Paris | A closer château destination |
Private transport covers the agreed route, pickup and return arrangements. Château tickets, audio guides, a personal guide and meals should be listed separately unless the quotation expressly includes them. An overnight stay is also a separate arrangement. Share reservations you already hold, including entry times and meeting instructions.
A chauffeur provides transport; a guided castle visit requires an appropriate guide or a venue's booked tour. Confirm language, availability and meeting location if you want that service. A private vehicle does not guarantee admission without waiting or give access to areas closed to visitors.
Castle grounds and interiors can involve substantial walking, stairs and different surfaces. Tell us about mobility aids, walking limits and any need to avoid steps. Check each château's access arrangements before selecting admissions; a reduced walking route may change what you can visit.
For children, share ages and child-seat needs. Leave room for breaks and choose the amount of indoor visiting they will enjoy. Carrying a stroller or other equipment also affects vehicle space, so mention it alongside the passenger count when requesting the quote.
Send your date, Paris hotel, passenger count, chosen castles and any guide, lunch or access requirements. We can assess the route before you commit to a crowded programme. Request a quote for your Loire Valley day trip, see our private driver service in Paris and the wider day-trip selection.
If the long day does not suit your stay, compare Fontainebleau and Vaux-le-Vicomte or Versailles. Both provide a different château experience closer to Paris.
Two full visits are a practical starting proposal. Chambord and Chenonceau can be discussed with lunch and hotel pickup, using an 11–13-hour proposed planning band. More castles may mean shorter visits or a longer stay.
Transport, château admissions, audio guides, a personal guide and meals are separate unless explicitly included in the quotation. Confirm entry arrangements and any guide's language and meeting point before the itinerary is agreed.
Chenonceau is the château; Chenonceaux is the commune where it is located. Use the château's visitor instructions and exact address when sharing a ticket reservation or meeting point.
A focused two-castle day may suit a first visit. Request an overnight or two-day programme if you want additional towns and visits such as Blois, Amboise, Clos Lucé, Villandry or Azay-le-Rideau. Accommodation and extended transport must be confirmed separately.
Send your date, Paris hotel and passenger count. Add the stops that matter most, any existing reservations, children’s ages and guide or access needs in the journey notes. We review the schedule and vehicle availability before sending a written proposal.
The hours below are a starting point for your request. Adjust them to your plans; they do not reserve a fixed package. Tickets, tastings, guides, meals and accommodation are separate unless listed in your confirmation.
