Your Champagne day, shaped around your visits
Private hotel pickup, a route shaped around your visits and return transport to Paris.
Request my day trip quoteA private Champagne tour from Paris starts with the visits you want to reserve. Choose Reims or Épernay as your base, then build a realistic day around cellar appointments, lunch and a village stop with your private driver.

This is a planning range, subject to your hotel address, traffic, reservations and pace. The final quote confirms your itinerary and reserved hours.
Set the departure around your hotel address and the first confirmed cellar appointment.
Begin in Reims or Épernay according to the house or grower you have chosen and the available visit language.
Allow a lunch break and consider Hautvillers or Aÿ-Champagne if the reservation schedule permits.
Choose a complementary cellar visit or tasting, subject to availability and a workable driving route.
Return after the agreed programme, with the timing subject to traffic and the length of the visits.
A Champagne day works best when the cellar appointments lead the itinerary. A preferred house, a smaller grower or a specific English-language tour may determine where you spend the day. Private transport lets you connect those addresses without making each transfer a separate task, but it cannot create availability at a sold-out visit.
For a first visit, discuss two reserved cellar visits or tastings, lunch and one village stop. Two is a proposed structure, not an automatic inclusion. One longer visit can be a better choice if you also want a relaxed lunch, time in town or a programme suited to children and non-drinkers.
Reims suits a day organised around the Champagne houses you reserve there and time in the city. Épernay centres the visit on the Avenue de Champagne and the surrounding wine villages. The official Champagne guide to Épernay describes its Avenue de Champagne and places it approximately 40 minutes from Reims. Treat that regional reference as context, rather than a guaranteed transfer time for your date.
You can request both towns, but every change of base uses time that could be spent visiting. If your two appointments are in the same area, staying there often gives the day more breathing room. Our Reims or Épernay comparison helps you choose before requesting the full excursion.
Hautvillers is an option for a village walk, vineyard views and the heritage associated with Dom Pérignon. Its official tourism page distinguishes the church from the privately owned abbey, which is not open for visits. Do not treat a village stop as a promised abbey tour.
Aÿ-Champagne is an alternative, including a possible visit to Pressoria's sensory Champagne experience. Choose this in place of another activity when the opening arrangements and your interests fit. A village, two cellar visits, both main towns and an extra museum can quickly turn a pleasant day into a series of deadlines.
Allow 9–11 hours as a proposed planning band from Paris hotel pickup to return. The confirmed plan depends on your hotel, traffic, appointment times and visit duration. Share any reservations already purchased before agreeing the transport programme.
The core service is a private driver for the agreed itinerary. Cellar tours, tastings and an additional guide are separate services unless explicitly included in the quotation. Meals, drinks and purchases also need their own budget. A house mentioned in an itinerary is a destination option; it does not indicate a partnership or a booking guarantee.
| Element | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Private transport | Vehicle, hotel pickup, waiting and return arrangements |
| Cellar visits | House or grower, appointment, language and admission |
| Tastings | Who is participating and the selected visit package |
| Lunch | Restaurant preference, reservation and payment |
Tell us if anyone is not tasting. A town walk, scenery or a cultural visit may be more appealing than two tasting appointments. Children can travel on a family itinerary, but each venue sets its own admission conditions and programme. Share ages and child-seat requirements when you enquire.
Cellar visits may involve steps, cool underground spaces and periods of walking or standing. Ask about the exact venue's access before booking if anyone uses a mobility aid or needs to avoid stairs. Your driver can reduce transfers between addresses; the visit itself still needs to suit the group.
Send your travel date, Paris hotel, passenger count, preferred houses or towns and any existing appointments. Include your visit-language preference, tasting participants and lunch or accessibility needs. Request a quote for your Champagne day trip. For a simple journey rather than an excursion, see Paris to Reims with a private driver.

Tastings and cellar admissions are separate unless expressly included in your quotation. Confirm the chosen venues, appointments, visit language and tasting package before agreeing the transport itinerary.
You can request both, but the appointment schedule and driving between them must fit the day. A single base with two visits and a village stop may allow more time on site. The proposed overall planning band is 9–11 hours, subject to your hotel and traffic.
Yes, a family or mixed-interest transport itinerary can be requested. Each venue sets its own visitor conditions. Share children's ages, child-seat needs and who will taste so the proposed activities suit the group.
Access differs by venue, and cellar visits may involve steps and standing. Tell us about mobility requirements before reservations are made and check access directly with the chosen house or grower. Private transport does not remove access restrictions inside a cellar.
Send your date, Paris hotel and passenger count. Add the stops that matter most, any existing reservations, children’s ages and guide or access needs in the journey notes. We review the schedule and vehicle availability before sending a written proposal.
The hours below are a starting point for your request. Adjust them to your plans; they do not reserve a fixed package. Tickets, tastings, guides, meals and accommodation are separate unless listed in your confirmation.
